LIFE AgroClimaWater Conference “Water Efficiency & Climate Resilient Agriculture”, 15 - 17 July, 2020, Chania, Crete, Greece
The Institute of Olive Tree, Subtropical Plants & Viticulture and the Soil and Water Resources Institute of Hellenic Agricultural Organisation (H.A.O. “DEMETER”) are organizing the "Water Efficiency & Climate Resilient Agriculture" conference that will take place from 15 to 17 July 2020 in Chania - Crete (Greece). This conference is part of the LIFE AgroClimaWater project.
The main aim of the Conference is to increase the scientific knowledge on water resources and climate change interactions for the agricultural sector at local, regional, and global scales. Also, of high importance is to increase water productivity, under different climate conditions and anthropogenic interventions, through various measures (improved agronomic practices, optimal irrigation water management) and geoinformatics techniques.
- Water resources management & monitoring
- Agricultural water-use efficiency
- Climate change & extreme events in agriculture
- Geoinformatics & decision support systems
- Irrigation & hydrological modeling
- Water scarcity & productivity
